I re-enabled it, and try to sync My Documents again however every file now resulted in an Access Denied message. I have edited these same files in these same locations dozens of times without a problem before. What would be a good choice for a controlled opposition? After regenerating the key and importing into policy, a gpupdate /force on laptop and reboot fixed the issue. navigate here
The Windows 7 clients used the setting correctly, and Windows setup Offline Files, and the server enables encryption of offline files. Any help is appreciated. I recommend confirming this is the problem before reimaging by logging in as the end user on another machine and syncing files, watching for errors as before. EFS is tied to the SID, which is unique for each local account, even if they are named the same.I'm betting that's the source of your troubles. · actions · 2009-Nov-16

I can see the files just fine on the share, the errors are coming from the cached copies of the files. PS: Since CSC is a computer (not per user) thing, if it works on one you might well get away with running on the others via a computer startup script. System restore didn't help. If hacker "1337l0ser" hacks your machine and downloads MySecretInformation.txt, with Bitlocker he will be able to read the file.
