As the capture hadn't been completed and not deployed, I can't find any relevant logs, is one created for a failed capture and if so, what would it be called? After the capture the WDS server will add the image to its configuration.You must then open the properties of the image and select the appropriate UNATTEND.XML for that image. Basically make sure the .inf files are in this folder or subfolders. Then I tried to get MDT rolling, I have this on my personal workstation. That's when I ran in to this Capture Image issue. If also saving to server then used same method and selected an image group folder on the server.
I have tried both Options Billnutt suggested. That’s fucking stupid. Do you mean you have issues creating a capture image on WDS or using the image to capture a PC drive as an install image? have a peek here I'm running my WDS on one of our file servers, I'll throw MDT on there as well.

I have same situation, here on April 26, 2011. Resolution: I was able to confirm, using "type NUL > file.txt", that the system was unable to write into the Captures folder, i.e. Although not solved- smckeown777 gave many suggestions so I am splitting the points between smckeown777 and my lack of success, as assisted solutions. 0 Message Author Closing Comment by:techtramp ID: Is your base image given as a WIM file?
