Perhaps the sectors that were damaged contained the driver files. It's on a 'workgroup' network with two xp machines, one of which shares data files that reside on the win7 machine. Worked great for XP. if not then why would some of the printers get deleted with the GPP and one still return an access denied? it worked for most of them but the one still hangs around and wont delete. Anyway, reinstalled on new drive, reinstalled printer and everything still working correctly as of now.
