Since Microsoft has made a conscious decision to abandon the GUI for management (a GUI which actually built their monopoly), they are no longer relevant. All the users can log in normally onto the farm however. Network & Sharing Desktop Windows Manager Service does not appear in services.mscGreets all.... users' sessions on this server. Access is denied. When running CMD and running"shadow ID" , I sometimes get an access denied, but most of the time I just black screen and then get dropped back into my session.

But you can now publish an RDP connection that automatically executes an application.
Solved Give user access to Remote Desktop Services Manager to remotely connect to sessions.
This should be sufficient to get it to work. Then I created a new users by creating a copy of a user that CANNOT remotedesk, well, the new copy user ALLOWS me to remote desktop. I thought it could be Always.
