My problem was that there was a small 1mb partition at the beginning of my drive which had been created by a failed suse installation. does this mean that when you use diskpart that you cannot see the recovery system (would be better if you listed everything that diskpart outputs)? Thank you soooo much. I suspect that's not a common setup, but I could be wrong.
