You may have to do a reapir install, but you can, or at least I think you can install the applications you want and not those you don't want by choosing I don't know how to retreive them again. Remove Windows temporary files.?

If you've got the system disk, use the repair windows facility. I use it more or less every week..helps keep the pc clean n sweet. Only certain operating system components such as the Package Installer (Update.exe) or Windows Installer (Msiexec.exe) can replace these files. Should I ignore and cancel because the files are not really different just compressed and probably lost their signature? I don't want to have to format the PC and reinstalling everything, because I'll still lose tons of files.
