The best way to get around this is to run an Exchange backup and the Update the Storage Group Copy. If the management shell does not give the status after running the above commands, close out of the management console and re-open. currently i am trying to take exchange aware backup using WSB to modify the database header but it fails in exchange consistency check .
Now i tried to take backup using windows server backup but it failed exchange consistency check and i had check the header of database using eseutil/mh ,it is not modified. I have seen outdated backup software wreak havoc on Exchange 2010 because it isn't compatible thus breaking the replication every time it tried to backup the databases.
