I also have one 500gb seagate disk that failed the long generic seatools test, but zfs is happly using away.
I enabled smart in the GUI and all the drives reported they had SMART enabled. Its running a fileserver on zfs jbod raid 2. For me I changed /dev/hda to /dev/sda, /dev/sdb, and /dev/sdc as I use scsi. I'm not sure how to investigate/fix.
