I’ve taken all three operating systems and put them through their paces in a rather large series of tests comparing everything from video rendering to CPU and memory performance. In fact, Windows XP is not bad and even better than Windows 7 in a way. i had to go in 5 diferent places of control panel and delet all my toolbars gust to get it down to the normal xp taskbar size ….. I have an AMD athalon II x2 250 processor 3.00GHz Video card, Ati Radeon HD 4350 1GB.

unpatched Vista have 3.7 infections PER THOUSAND (half of fully patched XP) patched Vista have 2.5 infections per thousand.XP is wide open to 0-day exploits, Vista is hardened and basically immune. Credit must go to Microsoft; for once the latest version of Windows is not the slowest ever. My XP run circles around windows 7. Windows XP has better speed, functionality, compatibility with majority of software & hardware, more efficient & more stable. Another feature that Microsoft improved (removed). It's a computer, you need to upgrade once in a while.
I can have 15 windows open and not have enough of a performance hit to complain, I can't wait to see this stuff on a 64 bit processor with multi cores...jf I'm among those who are glad that XP has finally been taken of the market to give the new OSes a better chance.
